Kit Designer and Rioja fan Edgar Fernandez
For a little while we'd been toying with the idea of producing a cycling kit sponsored by HarperWells. With a decade of cycling under Ed's lycra belt and the obviously interest in cycling in the UK in the Bradley Wiggins, Chris Hoy and Victoria Pendleton eras the urge to do this has been growing. I’ve also seen some great kit produced by the likes of Nonna’s Restaurant near Sheffield, Farnese Vini in Italy, Sutter Home in California as well as Adnams of Suffolk, just a little closer to home.

Our company benefits from a black and gold colour scheme and a simple, symmetrical logo designed by a Norwich design agency called The Click that’s intentionally versatile and seems to apply well to almost any media. In particular seems it lends itself very well to the design of a classic cycling jersey and it’ll be really interesting to see what Decca, the Belgium cycling kit specialists can come up with once we sign off the designs. Other local guys including Bottlesport UK and our Norwich sportsware retailer Ten-Eighty have also come on board too, to make it look that bit more pro. So in one item we’ve combined wine, cycling, HarperWells and design to great effect.

With two months in production the kit is out on the road and the results are best seen on a dedicated facebook page
