Alejandro Fernandez is a legend of Ribera del Duero winemaking.

 Winemaking at Pesquera is relatively traditional, with only Tempranillo (locally known as Tinto Fino) employed, and 24 months in American oak to coax gentle velvety yet wonderfully rich flavours. The essence of Ribera Del Duero is thus captured, with all the sensual harmony of traditional Spanish winemaking, but with perhaps more concentration and structure than wines aged in a similar fashion in Rioja.
